X528 governance
Overview
The X528 DAO is a decentralized autonomous organization that governs the X528 Network. The DAO governance is managed and operated by X528 token holders who participate in the staking program. Governance activities may consist of allocating treasury funds for operational costs, submitting new proposals, deploying new protocols on the X528 Network, and anything else that is X528 related. The X528 DAO enables the community to have direct control over the organization.
The X528 token is the governance token of the X528 DAO. While anyone may participate in the DAO discussions and forums, only those with X528 governance tokens may vote on and submit proposals. In order to take part in the governance process, holders of X528 must first deposit their tokens into a staking contract (see X528 Staking).

A Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO), is an organization that operates through rules encoded as computer programs on a blockchain or other decentralized computing system. Unlike traditional organizations, which are governed by a centralized authority such as a board of directors or a CEO, DAOs operate through a decentralized governance system that allows stakeholders to collectively make decisions and direct the organization's resources.
DAOs are typically open and transparent, with decision-making power distributed among its members or token holders. Members of a DAO can participate in decision-making and governance through voting mechanisms and proposals that are transparently recorded on the blockchain. The rules and decisions of a DAO are enforced by smart contracts, which are self-executing computer programs that automatically execute the terms of an agreement.
